Helped with homework

My kid was struggling with multiplication so I grabbed a monthly plan. Found some great 'multiplication charts' and practice sheets. It was pretty easy to find stuff on the site. Made homework a lot less painful, which is a win in my book. Totally worth it for the month.

Worksheets are useful

I needed 'first grade worksheets' for my daughter. Signed up for the free trial. Found a lot of good ones. Printed them out. It was simple to do. Good site for quick resources.

Good resources, easy download

I purchased the annual premium membership during their back to school offer. The process was straightforward, and the discount applied automatically through the link. I primarily use the printable worksheets for my 2nd grader. The variety is impressive, covering math exercises and reading comprehension. I downloaded several 'Common Core aligned materials' last week, and printing was seamless from my home printer. Support wasn't needed, everything worked fine. The site is pretty user-friendly, even for someone who isn't super tech-savvy. Overall, it's a solid platform for educational materials. The 'Brainzy games' are a nice bonus too.

Wondering if this site is okay for middle schoolers? My 6th grader needs some extra help but it seems geared younger.

G Gwen V. 1 month ago
They do have resources for middle school, especially for things like math and reading comprehension. It's not as extensive as the younger grades, but worth checking out the specific grade levels.

I found it mostly useful for elementary. For middle school, you might find some supplemental worksheets but it's probably not comprehensive enough. Khan Academy might be better for that age.

I'm thinking of signing up for the annual membership. Do they have Black Friday deals usually? Trying to time it right.

E Elena Reyes 2 months ago
Yep, they definitely participate in Black Friday. I got my membership that way a couple years ago, it was a pretty good discount.

Pretty sure they do. Most of these education sites have sales then. Keep an eye out starting November for sure.

Hey, wondering if anyone's actually used the premium membership here? Is it worth it for a kindergartener, or is the free stuff enough for that age?

M Marcus 2 months ago
I got premium for my first grader and honestly, the sheer volume of printables and games made it worth it. For kindergarten, you'd probably find a ton of useful stuff too, especially the guided lessons.

Nah, for kindergarten, I just used the free worksheets on their site. There's a decent amount you can print without paying, especially for basic letters and numbers. Depends on how much you wanna use it though.

Is it possible to get a free trial for the premium stuff before committing to a membership?

J Jared F. 2 months ago
I think they usually offer a free trial for premium, yeah. Or at least they did when I signed up. Look around their main page or sign up for their email list.

L Laura 2 months ago
They do! You should see an option for it when you're looking at the premium plans. It's how I checked it out before buying.

Can you actually use this on an iPad for the games and stuff, or is it mostly just for printing?

K Kate G. 2 months ago
Yeah, it works fine on an iPad. My kids use it all the time for the games, especially Brainzy. It's pretty responsive.

Works on my tablet, so I'd imagine the iPad is no problem. Some of the older games might be a bit finicky if your OS isn't updated, but generally good.

How does this site compare to like, Teachers Pay Teachers? Is it better for just finding ready-made worksheets and activities?

R Renee Vargas 2 months ago
Education.com feels more cohesive as a curriculum if you're looking for that, plus the games are a big bonus. TPT is great for specific, unique resources, but it's more of a marketplace vibe.

I'd say Education.com is better if you want a ton of content all in one place and don't want to sift through individual sellers. Plus, the interactive stuff is cool. TPT is good for niche stuff.

Does education.com do any kind of discount for teachers? Trying to get access for my classroom without breaking the bank.

G Gwen 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually have a teacher appreciation sale or something similar. I'd check around those times like in May, or sometimes for back to school.

F Faith 2 months ago
They do! My sister's a teacher and she got a pretty sweet deal on an annual membership last fall. Look out for their seasonal sales, usually around holiday periods too.

I have a coupon code from an email, where exactly do I type it in when I'm trying to get a premium membership?

A Alex 2 months ago
You'll see a box for promo codes right on the checkout page before you finalize your payment. Can't miss it.

J Julia Silva 2 months ago
It's usually on the payment step, before you enter your card info. There's a little box that says 'Promo Code' or 'Coupon Code'.
